Biography

Tony Hu is an entrepreneurial product development and marketing executive who has brought hundreds of successful consumer products to market. He is currently Vice President of Product Development at DEX Products, Inc. where he is responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing of juvenile (baby) products. Over the past 15 years, Tony has developed top-selling toys, sporting goods, and juvenile products that have sold at mass retailers world-wide. A holder of 13 patents, he has also licensed 22 inventions to companies including Mattel/Fisher-Price, Nike-Bauer Hockey, and Franklin Sports.

Prior to DEX, Tony was VP Product Development for Overbreak, a rapidly-growing consumer products company, VP Product Development for Munchkin, Inc., a leading juvenile products company, co-founder of Artabunga! a leading website for creative kids, and founder of Primal Products, a product development and licensing firm. He has consulted for start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in the areas product development, marketing, and licensing.

Tony has taught product design classes at Stanford and has lectured on product development at Stanford, USC, and the California College of the Arts. He received his MS in Engineering, Product Design from Stanford and his BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT where he conducted research at the Media Lab.
